  • 1 package (12 ounce) beef smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1 cup diced onion
  • 1 rib celery, diced
  • 4 cup beef broth
  • 2 carrots, peeled and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 can (10.5 ounce) Campbell’s French Onion Soup
  • 1 can (15 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 2 medium russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 10 mushrooms

Instructions

1. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the sliced sausage and ground beef, cooking until browned and the beef is crumbled.

2. Toss in the onions, celery, carrots, and mushrooms, sautéing until they begin to soften.

3. Stir in the beef broth, French onion soup, tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, black pepper, potatoes, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the potatoes and carrots are tender.

4. Remove the bay leaf before serving.
