  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoon melted butter
  • 2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

1. 1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. 2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, salt, and sugar.

3. 3. Add the cold butter cubes to the flour mixture and blend until it resembles coarse crumbs.

4. 4. In a small bowl, whisk together the molasses and milk. Pour into the flour mixture and stir until just combined.

5. 5. Turn the dough onto a floured surface, shape into a circle about 1 inch thick, cut into 8 wedges, and place on the baking sheet. Brush tops with milk and sprinkle with sugar.
