Ginger Garlic Napa Cabbage Rolls are a delightful dish that combines the crunch of napa cabbage with a savory filling of ground chicken, ginger, and garlic, all baked to perfection.

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1 cup cooked jasmine rice
  • 1/2 cup green onions, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds for garnish
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.

2. Prepare the cabbage by blanching the leaves in boiling water for 2-3 minutes until softened. Drain and set aside.

3. In a bowl, combine the ground chicken, cooked rice, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and sugar. Mix well.

4. Place 2-3 tablespoon of the filling in the center of each cabbage leaf. Fold the sides over the filling and roll tightly.

5. In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch and 2 tablespoon of water to create a slurry. In a saucepan, combine the chicken broth, hoisin sauce, and honey. Bring to a simmer and stir in the cornstarch slurry until thickened.

6. Arrange the cabbage rolls seam-side down in a baking dish. Pour the sauce over the rolls, cover with foil, and bake for 25-30 minutes.

7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and chopped green onions before serving.
