Indulge in Homemade Fresh Peach Fritters for a Sweet Treat

Fresh Peach Fritters 4 Servings Ultimate Delicious

Fresh peach fritters are a delightful summer treat featuring a crispy exterior and a juicy peach filling, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups peeled and diced fresh peaches
  • Vegetable or canola oil (for frying)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon (if using). In another bowl, beat the eggs, then add the milk and vanilla extract. Stir the wet mixture into the dry ingredients until just combined. Gently fold in the diced fresh peaches, being careful not to overmix the batter.

2. Heat about 2 inches of vegetable or canola oil in a heavy-bottomed pot or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C). This temperature is crucial for achieving the perfect crispy exterior and tender interior on your fresh peach fritters.

3. Using a spoon or small cookie scoop, carefully drop spoonfuls of the peach-studded batter into the hot oil. Fry a few at a time, being careful not to overcrowd the pot. Fry the fresh peach fritters for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to transfer the fried fritters to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

4. While the fresh peach fritters are still warm, prepare the simple glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and pourable.

5. Dip or drizzle the warm fresh peach fritters with the homemade glaze, ensuring an even coating. The heat from the fritters will help the glaze melt and spread, creating a delectable sweet topping.

Notes

Choose ripe, slightly firm peaches for the best texture.

Fry in small batches to avoid lowering the oil temperature.

Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days; reheat in the oven for best results.
