  • 1 1/2 pound white fish fillets (cod, mahi-mahi, or tilapia), cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 limes, juiced and zested
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 4 cup shredded cabbage (green or red, or a mix)
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 2 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 12 corn or flour tortillas

Instructions

1. Marinate the fish by tossing with olive oil, chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne. Season with salt and black pepper. Let marinate for 10-15 minutes.

2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the marinated fish for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.

3. Prepare the lime crema by whisking together sour cream, mayonnaise, lime juice and zest, minced garlic, and chopped cilantro. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

4. For the slaw, combine shredded cabbage, carrots, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, olive oil, sugar, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Toss until evenly coated.

5. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat or wrap in foil and heat in a 350°F oven for 5-10 minutes until soft.
