Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 ounce linguine
  • 1 pound steak (sirloin or ribeye), cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 cup carrots, sliced into thin sticks or coins
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil (divided)
  • 4 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish

Instructions

1. Cook Linguine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguine according to package instructions. Drain the pasta and set it aside.

2. Cook Steak: Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak with salt and pepper, then cook until it’s browned and reaches your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.

3. Cook Carrots: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the carrots until they’re tender.

4. Make Cowboy Butter: Reduce the heat to medium and add the butter, garlic, lemon juice, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, crushed red pepper flakes (if using), and Dijon mustard. Stir until the butter is melted and the sauce is combined.

5. Combine: Add the cooked steak and linguine to the skillet with the cowboy butter sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta is evenly coated.

6. Serve: Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped fresh parsley over the top. Serve this Cowboy Butter Steak Linguine hot and enjoy every bite!

Notes

For dietary restrictions, swap out the linguine for gluten-free pasta or zucchini noodles. Grilled chicken or shrimp can be used instead of steak.
