  • 2 tablespoon instant espresso powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoon heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee granules
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoon heavy whipping cream

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and grease a 9×9-inch baking pan.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, cocoa powder, sugar, and espresso powder. Whisk until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated. Stir in salt, baking powder, and flour, being careful not to overmix. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before frosting.

3. In a separate bowl, whisk together heavy cream and instant coffee granules until dissolved. Beat in softened butter, salt, and powdered sugar until smooth.

4. Melt dark chocolate chips and heavy cream together until smooth and glossy.

5. Spread coffee frosting over cooled brownies, then drizzle melted chocolate topping. Allow to set before slicing and serving.

Notes

For best texture and flavor, serve at room temperature or slightly chilled. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Brownies can be frozen for up to 3 months.
