Chaffle Taco Shells 4 Servings Easy Delicious

Chaffle Taco Shells are a delicious low-carb alternative for taco night, combining crispy, cheesy goodness with classic taco flavors.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin

Instructions

1. 1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until no longer pink. Drain any excess fat.

2. 2. Add the water and taco seasoning to the skillet. Simmer the mixture for 5-7 minutes.

3. 3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, shredded cheese, chili powder, and cumin until well combined.

4. 4. Preheat your waffle maker and lightly grease it if necessary. Scoop the chaffle batter onto the hot waffle maker and cook for 3-5 minutes.

5. 5. While the chaffles are still warm, carefully fold them over a rolling pin or spoon handle to create the taco shell shape. Allow the shells to cool completely before serving.

6. 6. Fill the chaffle taco shells with seasoned taco meat and your desired toppings.

Notes

Optional toppings include fresh cilantro, sour cream, diced tomatoes, and avocado slices.
