  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoon water

6. Return chicken to the pan. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and salt to taste. Stir well.

Notes

To take your Black Pepper Chicken to the next level, consider these helpful tips:

Opt for boneless, skinless chicken thighs for the most tender and flavorful results. Breast meat can also be used, but thighs tend to have a richer flavor and stay juicier.

Adjust the amount of black pepper to suit your spice preference. Start with 1 tablespoon and add more if you want an extra kick.

Cook the onions and bell peppers until they’re just slightly softened, about 2-3 minutes. This preserves their crisp texture and prevents them from becoming too soft.
